Overview
Moori is a personal notes app. We respect your privacy and aim to keep your data on your devices and in your personal iCloud account. Moori does not require a developer-operated account, show ads, sell personal data, or engage in cross-app tracking.
Data Moori processes
The notes, titles, themes, properties, and attachments you create or import are processed to provide editing, search, preview, and sync features. Moori does not upload this content to a server operated by the developer.
iCloud sync
When iCloud is enabled, Moori uses Apple CloudKit to sync data between devices signed in to the same Apple Account. Apple processes this data under its terms and privacy policy. You can disable Moori’s iCloud access in system settings.
Photos, files, and media
Moori accesses photos and files only when you choose to import, add, preview, or export them. The app may keep local copies in its sandbox for offline use and syncing.
Clipboard and web clipping
When you use paste or web-clipping features, Moori processes the link or content you provide and may connect directly to the source website to retrieve public page content or media. The source website may receive ordinary network information such as an IP address and request details. Browser-extension transfers to Moori on Mac use a connection local to your device.
Analytics, advertising, and third-party SDKs
Moori does not include third-party advertising or behavioral analytics SDKs, create advertising profiles, or sell or rent your personal information.
Retention and deletion
Data remains on your devices and in your personal iCloud until you delete it. You can delete notes, empty Trash, or uninstall the app to remove local data. iCloud backup and recovery are controlled by Apple and your system settings.
Security
Moori uses Apple platform protections including app sandboxing and CloudKit security. No storage or transmission method can guarantee absolute security, but we reduce risk by minimizing collection and external transfers.
Children’s privacy
Moori is not designed to collect personal information from children and does not knowingly collect children’s personal data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when features or legal requirements change. The revised policy will appear on this page with a new effective date.
